20121110_jdm_sx1_023_28246917_904588The two most talked about teams in the most talked about game will finally go head to head tomorrow.  Last year’s these two teams played each other where A&M handed Alabama their only loss of the season.  Johnny Football was born and you could not go anywhere without hearing his name.  Many scandals later, Manziel hosts the reigning BCS Champions and look to prove that they did not get lucky last season.  However, both teams said publicly that this game is not about revenge, but we all know that probably is not the case.

Manziel was rattled Week 1 when Rice players started taunting him about the autograph scandal so it will be interesting to see if Alabama players resort to similar tactics to get penalties against Manziel.  Alabama head coach Nick Saban spoke publicly that his team would not resort to such measures.  He said, “It’s never a part of our game,” he said. “We tell our players, there’s no circumstance where you need to talk to another player, and there’s been very little of that with our team. Business-like is the way we’d like to approach this game. It’s going to be emotional, don’t get me wrong. And I’m not trying to minimize the importance when I use the term ‘businesslike.'”

These two teams can try to downplay this matchup all they want, but everyone else knows how important this game is.  For A&M it can hopefully show that they are a complete team and attempt to take some of the spotlight off their quarterback.  It will be hard as it seems Manziel is involved in a new scandal every week. For Alabama, it is about pride. Saban does not like to lose and will do everything he can to beat the team Roll Tide lost to.  This will be a great game, but I give the advantage to Alabama.  They have the better coach who is a mastermind of football.  Roll Tide will roll into College Station and get the win. Texas A&M vs. Alabama- who you takin?

  1. LOL! TAMU already got pushed around by the #93 team, Rice. Then had an 8% performance decline against an FCS team in Sam Houston State, which had been DOMINATED the week before, in a 74 point SHUTOUT, by Houston Baptist. TAMU only beat them by 37 points. Not to mention TAMU did virtually NOTHING against Bama the last 3 quarters of last year’s game, a mere 9 points in the 4th. They only walked away with a win because AJ threw his first Interception in 297 consecutive passes, after a grueling LSU battle the week before. Alabama isn’t tired, knows what TAMU will do, and I don’t see AJ being charitable enough to forgo scoring today.

Oh! I almost forgot! Manziel has his own personal CBS camera that will follow him every second, never anyone else. I’m pretty sure his ego will take over and he will be more concerned with being seen than with being a team player.

    Roll Tide!
