Mayweather v Canelo: undefeated champions face off in Time Square - video44-0 vs. 42-0.  One of these boxers will suffer their first loss tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  Floyd Mayweather is the confident champion who knows in his own mind that no one can beat him.  Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvares is the young boxer who went pro at just 15.  Mayweather has beaten some of the greats including Sugar Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya, but many still question his legacy.  Beating Alvarez could finally show the haters that Mayweather can back up everything that he says.  However, is Alvarez can beat the champ, it would go down as one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history. Alvarez’s biggest advantage?  He is only 23, while Mayweather is 36.

Alvarez’ mentor, Oscar De La Hoya, recently checked himself into rehab and announced that he would not be at tonight’s fight.  While this will likely have no effect on the young stud, Mayweather uses anything he can to his advantage.

Mayweather will go 45-0 and silence all the critics that he is not as good as he claims.  While everyone questions his reasoning for never fighting Manny Pacquiao, this will be a big fight for him. If Alvarez pulls the upset, it will be the biggest fight of his career.  People will become Alvarez fans simply because of their hatred for Mayweather and his attitude.  Either way, Mayweather is expected to make close to $100 million tonight!  Mayweather vs. Alvarez- who you takin?

  1. Alvarez for the upset; it’s always fun rooting for the underdog. Either way, I hope it’s a great fight.
