To say that society is fascinated by scandal would be an understatement. In fact, a network in South Africa will create an entire television channel devoted to covering Paralympian Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial. Pistorius was charged for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. He claimed that he shot her because he believed she was an intruder breaking into their home.
The network titled, The Oscar Pistorius Trial: A Carte Blanche Channel, will have 24-hour coverage of the case including an all access pass to exclusive court documents and testimonies. The channel will also feature legal analysis from other lawyers. The trial is set to start on March 1st and the network will begin airing the next day. Crime scene pictures have already leaked from the case including pictures of the bathroom where Steenkamp was shot.
