It is already the final month of 2014 and time to recap all of the greatest moments of the year! Â To get things started, we go back to a big record breaking night for a guy who will likely secure his place in Canton as soon as he is eligible.
In a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, punt return specialist Devon Hester passed none other than Deion Sanders for the most return touchdowns in NFL history. Â In the second quarter, Hester returned a punt 62 yards and high stepped his way into history. Â High stepping in honor of his mentor and friend Sanders who would frequently do the same when he got into the end zone.
Unfortunately, Hester received a penalty for the “showboating”, but it was well worth it as it was his moment to shine. Â Sanders was in attendance for the game and the two got a chance to talk after the game. Â The two became emotional as Sanders expressed his love for Hester, not just as a football player. Â The Falcons went on to win the game 56-14.
