He is considered one of the greatest basketballl minds.  He has coached some of the greatest players of all time including Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.  Now, Phil Jackson has taken his talent to New York City to try and right the Knicks ship.  Jackson was hired by Knick owner James Dolan to make all team-related decisions and of course implement the triangle offense.

At first there were rumors that Jackson would coach that team himself, but he denied it and eventually hired Derek Fisher, a player he used to coach.  Fisher was coming off his final season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he was a natural leader so the move made sense.  It was clear the Knicks needed a lot of work before they would ever be championship team, but it has been a rough first season for Jackson and the Knicks.

The Knicks made some moves in the offseason, including signing their big superstar Carmelo Anthony to a lengthy and very lucrative contract.  However, the Knicks currently have one of the worst records and there are rumors that teammates are fighting.
