In a battle for the NFC lEast, the Philadelphia Eagles managed to pull it together and win their final four games of the season. They are a dangerous team with a lot of momentum on their side. They are also one of the most injured teams, but the difference is they have figured out how to win with replacement players.

Their opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, are currently trending in a different direction. The team finished the season going 2-3 trying desperately to plug holes in their team.

Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz has consistently been plagued with questions about whether or not he can stay healthy for an entire season. So far he has while the rest of his team has fallen one at a time. Wentz is playing his best football, throwing to receivers that most of us have never heard of and spent most of their time this season on the practice squad.

In his debut playoff game, Wentz will have to continue his elite level of playing. In his five games in the final month of the season, Wentz threw for 1,509 yards including ten touchdowns to one interception. Against a Seahawks’ defense that has problems putting pressure on opposing quarterback, you can expect more of that production.

Eagles Defense at Home

The Philadelphia Eagles defense is full of injuries, but they can still consistently get after the quarterback, especially at home. At The Linc, the Eagles are one of the stingiest defenses in the league. Despite losing to Seattle during the season, the Eagles defense sacked Russell Wilson six times and was held to just 200 yards for one touchdown and one interception.

The Seahawks got the win from a strong performance by running back Rashaad Penny. Unfortunately, Penny is now on the sideline after undergoing ACL surgery. The Seahawks are down to rookie Travis Homer and recently re-signed Marshawn Lynch. A defense who leads the league in almost all categories at home, should be able to handle Seattle’s lackluster rushing attack.
