Finally the New Orleans Saints are in the win column and their head coach was there to see it all go down. Sean Payton, former head coach, has been serving his season-long suspension for allowing a bounty system to go on in the Saints’ locker room. While the players who were involved had their suspensions lifted, Payton has not been allowed anywhere near the Saints until tonight.

He was there to see his quarterback, Drew Brees, break Johnny Unitas record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass. Brees has now thrown a touchdown pass in 48 consecutive games. He added three more touchdown passes after that one. The Saints also got their first win of the season to improve to 1-4 (nothing to write home about yet, but still going in the right direction). Maybe Sean Payton is good luck…. Anyways, congrats Mr. Brees you deserve it!

  1. Personally not a Brees’ fan, but something about Sean Payton’s presence makes this team play at a different level. I wonder if they can get into the playoffs?
