It didn’t start off too pretty for New York Giants’ starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw who on the first drive of the game fumbled the ball. Two plays later, Trent Richardson marched into the end zone with ease as no defenders covered him. Boos could be heard throughout MetLife Stadium on a rainy and miserable day.

The Giants were playing almost as awful as the weather getting off to a 0-14 start against the 0-4 Browns. However, Eli Manning once again led the troops out there and connected with Victor Cruz to cut the lead in half. This was the first of three Victor Cruz touchdowns for the day. All of the sudden, the boos turned into one giant “CRUUUUUUUUUZ” chant for the star wide receiver.

After his fumble, Ahmad Bradshaw appeared visibly with himself and looked like he was determined to make it up to the fans, his teammates, and more importantly, himself. The running back was sent back into the game and outshined every other player on the field. The Giants’ running game was stopped completely last week, but Bradshaw came out of the game with a career-high 200 yards and one touchdown.

The Giants took the lead by the half and never looked back. The Giants grabbed two interceptions off rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden and also backup safety Stevie Brown knocked out the ball during a punt return to set up the Giants for another touchdown. He did a great job filling in for the injured Kenny Phillips. Rookies Rueben Randle and David Wilson each had great outings as they also filled in for injured players. Wilson came in for Andre Brown who suffered a concussion during the game and scored his first NFL touchdown and treated the crowd to one of his signature back flips.

The Browns are now 0-5 and it looks like rookie running back Trent Richardson will have to eat his words about the Giants’ defense who held him to 81 yards and the one early touchdown. However, the defense had zero sacks which is unusual for this powerhouse defensive line. The Giants will take this momentum into San Francisco to face an extremely tough 49ers team.
