Ronda Rousey is really becoming a Hollywood sensation, which is no surprise to anyone at this point.  Rousey has appeared in a few small roles in “Entourage”, “Fast and the Furious 7” and “Expendables 3”, but it looks like her newest role is where she’ll finally get a chance to show off her acting chops.

Rousey took to her Twitter to share the announcement that she will be featured in a remake of the 1980’s movie, “Road House”.

It is reported that Rousey will be playing Patrick Swayze’s role in the movie. Since the movie’s release in 1989, it has become a cult classic and has gained a pretty sizeable following that it didn’t initially receive during its original release. Rousey was only willing to take the part in the movie if it was alright with Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi who happily gave Rousey her blessing.

Even though this will be Rousey’s biggest role yet, she is not shying away from doing more acting. She will be the star of her own biopic based upon her book, My Fight/Your Fight as well as a roles in “Mile 22” which according to IMDB is “A CIA field officer and an Indonesian police officer are forced to work together as they confront violent and extreme political corruption”.

Rousey has undoubtedly caught the acting bug and the camera already loves her, so an acting career seems only natural. “Road House” is an exciting choice for Rousey and it will be interesting to see her rendition of Swayze’s iconic character.
