The Washington Redskins have no one to blame but themselves for the sad state of their current team. It has been truly entertaining to watch a team fall apart in the most bizarre way. You would think that the players would be hopeful that they can redeem themselves.

Apparently not as wide receiver DeSean Jackson proves that point exactly. In an interview with GQ, Jackson was asked if he thought that the Redskins were going to go the distance this year and he gave the most unconfident answer. In the article, GQ made sure to emphasize one thing that he did, “Long silence. “Uh… how ’bout I say, uh… Let me see what I can answer to that question….” If that is not the most awkward answer from one of the team’s franchise players! That’s an awful answer for a team as unstable as this one.

Since Jackson isn’t really too confident in the Redskins, it must be hard being a player on the team then. He actually plays for and gets paid by the Redskins, but still somehow gives an answer like that. That was probably not the answer that the guys who did their media training were hoping for. Maybe something like “I’m just trying to make the team better” would have been a better option for him.

It is admirable that Jackson actually said something like that because he could possibly get in trouble for making comments like that. Although what he said was rather refreshing to come out of a player’s mouth. Some players wouldn’t even dream about talking about their team like that.
