Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion during last week’s game. So most of the world expected him not to play. It sounds like the only person who knew he was going to play was the man himself. The man they refer to as RG3 not only played, but did something that Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and both Manning brothers have not done all season. The rookie saw room to run and decided to take the ball all the way down field for a Washington touchdown. Griffin managed to fool the entire Vikings’ defense who looked dumbfounded as they watched him jump into the crowd in celebration.

Washington had not won a home game in over a year. The Redskins pounded the Vikings winning 38-26. Griffin’s run came in the last three minutes of the game and put any Vikings comeback to bed. To put his run into perspective, Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson, who was one of the best in the league, only managed to rush for 79 yards. Griffin finished the day with one interception, 182 passing yards, and 138 rushing yards. He has put new life in this Redskins team that has always been the forgotten about in the overly talented NFC East. It seems that Washington D.C. is starting to become quite the sports town now with the Nationals making the playoffs and now the electrifying style of play by the Redskins. Now the Wizards are still another story.
