Yet another Cincinnati Bengals player is in trouble with the law. Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson was sentenced to thirty days in jail this morning after slapping his attorney’s butt during a probation violation hearing. Now, it is defensive back Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones who is in hot water. Jones posted this tweet:
According to Adam Schefter, it turns out that he allegedly slapped a woman after she threw a beer bottle at him. Jones was at the Cincinnati Reds game when two women who were allegedly drunk off their (you fill in the blank) approached him. The three of them took a picture together and one of the women threw a beer bottle at him. Jones claims that in self defense he slapped the women across the face.
Given Jones’ past run ins with the law, it is hard to believe him. Hitting a woman is never the solution, no matter how annoying she may be. Jones just put his contract with the Bengals in jeopardy over a drunk mess. Jones is a true talent and it is a shame that incidents like this will muddy his legacy as a player.
