Yet another Cincinnati Bengals player is in trouble with the law. Â Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson was sentenced to thirty days in jail this morning after slapping his attorney’s butt during a probation violation hearing. Now, it is defensive back Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones who is in hot water. Â Jones posted this tweet:
According to Adam Schefter, it turns out that he allegedly slapped a woman after she threw a beer bottle at him. Â Jones was at the Cincinnati Reds game when two women who were allegedly drunk off their (you fill in the blank) approached him. Â The three of them took a picture together and one of the women threw a beer bottle at him. Â Jones claims that in self defense he slapped the women across the face.
Given Jones’ past run ins with the law, it is hard to believe him. Â Hitting a woman is never the solution, no matter how annoying she may be. Â Jones just put his contract with the Bengals in jeopardy over a drunk mess. Â Jones is a true talent and it is a shame that incidents like this will muddy his legacy as a player.
