It is officially draft day!  We are one step closer to football being back on our televisions.  For a lot of young men their lives are about to change forever.

By now, we have heard all about Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, Khalil Mack, and Teddy Bridgewater.  ESPN and other outlets have talked these guys up just to tear them right back down.  All of these players have the talent to be the first pick in the draft, but which one will it be?

By all accounts it will be defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.  He and JJ Watt would be a deadly duo and a quarterback’s worst nightmare.  However, is he what the Texans need to address with the number one pick?  It is not a bad pick especially since they have the first pick in the second round as well. A very good quarterback, like Bridgewater, could very well fall to that spot.  If the Texans could manage to get both Clowney and Bridgewater I would consider them the winners of the draft.

As much of a toss up as the first pick will be, it only gets more confusing as you down the list.  The Rams are expected to pick second, however, there has been a lot of talk that they could trade away that pick.  Possible suitors include the Detroit Lions who have been very vocal about their interest in wide receiver Sammy Watkins or the Buffalo Bills who covet Khalil Mack.

This draft is so unpredictable that I would not be surprised if everything I just mentioned does not happen.  As much as the “experts” think they know, they are just making educated guesses and none of us really know what will happen until tonight! Finally!  Houston Texans, you are on the clock!

  1. Can not wait to see tonight who gets drafted in the top 10. Also can not wait for the end of the “Experts'” “50,000” Mock Draft changes.
