The Seahawks 0-2 start was a far cry from their two previous Super Bowl teams and some of that may have been due to the fact that Kam Chancellor was holding out. The defense really struggled against the Rams and the Packers and Chancellor’s “replacements” weren’t really replacements at all, because there is only one Kam Chancellor and one Legion of Boom. It finally looks like the Legion of Boom will be getting one of its key members back.

Chancellor has decided to stop holding out for a restructured contract and has decided to go back to the Seahawks. Chancellor has not been present with the Seahawks since OTAs and skipped all of training camp, the preseason games and the first two games of the season.

Chancellor has released a statement via ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, “Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren’t…God forgives all, why can’t I? Time to help us get back to the big dance. I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my Dawg down….Real talk.” While Chancellor’s mission could be seen as a failure since he didn’t get a new contract, some could see it as a success too.

Chancellor showed how much the Seahawks would struggle without him and that little taste of disappointment might be what the Seahawks need to get down to the business. Whatever happens, though, it’s obvious that Chancellor will be bringing it when the Seahawks face the Bears on Sunday!
