Despite Stephenson’s various antics and what Miami Heat shooting guard, Ray Allen, called “buffoonery” in an effort to get inside the minds of his competition, he and his actions-although entertaining- fell short. For the second consecutive year, the Indiana Pacers found themselves left with the short end of the stick, after a tough 25-point blowout loss in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in South Beach.

Looking back to 2010 and what now may be viewed as “the trade of all trades”, it was safe to say King James had no problem showcasing his arrival to the city nor was he hesitant to state just how he and his two right hand men were going to claim the throne of the NBA in their ESPN special, “The Decision.” It was there he stated, “Not 2..not 3…not 4…not 5…not 6…not 7… and when I say that I really believe it.” Although at the time, his decision to air the “The Decision” was quite tasteless, as were the statements made within it, James and his band of brothers have turned those same tasteless remarks into hungry season after season championship runs.

After Friday night’s win against the Pacers, the Heat are now on to their fourth straight Finals and have a chance at a three peat- becoming only the third franchise in NBA history to reach that very feat.

In Indy Land, although ending the season on a rather sour note, the Pacers have confirmed head coach, Frank Vogel, will be returning to the sidelines next season as the team looks to rebuild and come back even stronger.
