atl-detIt is the last Monday Night Football game of the season, so why not have it on Saturday? The Falcons have already locked up the NFC South, while the Lions seem to have fallen from grace.  Last year, they looked like a team who could have been a potential threat in the playoffs with superstar receiver Calvin Johnson.  However, this year they have not looked like the playoff team they were.  Johnson is looking to break Jerry Rice’s single season reception record so expect to see a lot of deep throws to him.

The Falcons are playing for respect as they have not gotten any all season even though they have the best record in the NFL at 12-2.  Atlanta receiver Roddy White is listed as questionable, but is expected to play.  Smart idea to let him play or bad idea with the possibility of making the injury worse? I fully expect the Falcons to come into Detroit and take care of business, but I also expect the Lions’ defense to get a few hits on Matt Ryan.  Falcons vs. Lions, who you takin?

  1. Atlanta, but I doubt the starters will play the whole game. I hope the Falcons can take the high from the win over the Giants take care of business against the Lions.
