pouncy-twinsNormally, nothing is worse than a loss in football. That is, until your friend is looking at life in prison for murdering someone and cops think you have information.  This is exactly what happened to Miami Dolphins’ center Mike Pouncey.  Pouncey was served the grand jury subpoena after this team lost to the New England Patriots. The subpoena was in connection with former New England tight end Aaron Hernandez.  Hernandez is still sitting in jail awaiting trial in connection to the death of Odin Lloyd.

Pouncey and his twin brother Maurkice went to college with Hernandez where they were good friends.  They were so close that they even lived together at different points in time.  The Pouncey twins came under fire after a picture of them surfaced wearing hats with the words “Free Hernandez”.   The police did not say what Pouncey’s connection to the crime is and the Dolphins’ organization had no comment either.   Pouncey seemed confused when he was handed the court documents.  He has not been charged with any crime and being served does not mean he had any part in the crime.  His twin brother has not been served, but it is unlikely that he will be in Massachusetts as he is nursing a torn ACL injury.  The twin brothers were allegedly with Hernandez in 2007 at a night club when two men were shot.  Police believe Hernandez may have been involved in it.
