la-sp-dn-zack-greinke-analyzes-dodgers-lineup--001The St. Louis Cardinals are only one game away from going to the World Series.  The Cardinals have gone under the radar as one of the most prolific franchises in baseball.  St. Louis is looking for its second title in three years. Last year, they had a chance to go to the World Series, but their offense got stuck in neutral; a problem they are experiencing this series as well.  St. Louis has only scored eight runs in this series against the Dodgers, but the Dodgers have only scored seven.

Tonight, the Dodgers have their second ace Zack Greinke on the mound, who struck out ten Cardinals, but failed to get the win.  The Dodgers will need to give their star pitcher some run support tonight if they want to survive to see another game.   The Dodgers’ lineup has been hurt by Hanley Ramirez suffering from a broken rib.  While the shortstop and offensive spark has played, he was removed from Game 4 in the sixth inning.  Speaking of sparks, rookie sensation Yasiel Puig’s bat appears to have awoken.  After going 0-for-11 in this series, Puig has gotten four hits over the past two games.

This will be a fun game and a test of how much the Dodgers want to win.  With Greinke on the mound, I think the Dodgers keep this series alive to pass the ball onto Clayton Kershaw in Game 6.  The Dodgers are a much better home team and they will get the big hit tonight that they need.  The Cardinals have put up a great fight, but they will not close the door tonight.  Cardinals vs. Dodgers- who you takin?
