nfl_g_schaub_gb1_576x324So you might have heard that Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has been struggling.  Over the past four games, he has thrown a pick-six in each of them.  It has been hard to watch, especially for diehard Texans fans.  Fans have been seen burning his jersey in the streets.  One guy spent $200 on a jersey just so he could burn it!  That seemed pretty extreme  by most people’s standard, but in everything is amplified in Texas.

Apparently some fans wanted to tell Schaub exactly how they felt in person.  Earlier today, police were alerted that fans showed up outside of the Schaub residence waiting for the quarterback to appear.  This is the home where his family resides making it even scarier. When police showed up, the fans had left.  Schaub immediately alerted the NFL security of what was going on.  Schaub is married and has a child.  As passionate as you may get as a fan, this is never acceptable.  Football is just a game and there is no need to make these people afraid to walk outside of their home.  Let’s just keep the anger contained in the privacy of our own homes!

[UPDATE] Houston Police went on Twitter to clear up this false report.  They report fans were not outside of his home, but instead an unidentified man was outside trying to take pictures of Schaub and his family.Screen shot 2013-10-09 at 11.04.04 AMScreen shot 2013-10-09 at 11.03.59 AM

  1. Great stuff as usual. It’s just a game, but to some gambling makes it more than that.

You never get near a guy’s family.
