Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.  Manning led the Denver Broncos to a record breaking season in 2013 and in 2014 he broke a personal record.  In a game against the 49ers, Manning threw touchdown number 509, breaking Brett Favre’s record.   With the three minutes left in the first half, Manning found his favorite target Demaryius Thomas who carried the ball into the end zone.

Manning’s receivers immediately played “keep-away” with the ball, something they later admitted they had worked on during practice in anticipation for this moment.  After the game, Manning said, “It’s very humbling. It’s taken a lot of hard work. A lot of people have helped me to this point.”  It took him 246 games to reach this amazing milestone, 56 less games than it took Favre.

Manning now has 528 with two games left to play and he will likely play at least another season.  His record will likely remain in tact for quite a while.
