The Cowboys-Eagles game on Sunday was ugly and that’s putting it mildly. It was pretty embarrassing to watch two divisional rivals making little mistakes and the number of penalties was crazy. The biggest news would have been the triumphant return of Cowboys LB Sean Lee who was recovering from a torn ACL, unfortunately, the biggest news was related to a different injury. With Dez Bryant out, it was unclear how the Cowboys would be able to recover. No one thought it could get any worse for them, but as luck would have it, it did.

During the second half, Dallas QB Tony Romo was looking for an open target but wasn’t watching his surroundings. He was tackled by two Eagles players, leading to a fumble and Romo left laying on the field. When he got up, he was clutching his left shoulder and was taken to the locker room.  After X-rays were taken, it was announced that Romo had suffered a broken left clavicle. In 2010, Romo suffered the same injury in week 7 and didn’t return for the rest of the season. The only lining is that the Cowboys beat the Eagles 20-10 and Brandon Weeden didn’t have too bad of a game considering the circumstances.

Cowboys fans have to be worried, going into next week though because the Boys will be facing the Falcons. Like the Cowboys, the Falcons are 2-0 and have weapons like Julio Jones who has been lighting up NFC East defenses. Another concern is the Cowboys only have one backup QB and it’s Brandon Weeden so if something happens to Weeden too, the Cowboys are going to really be in trouble. Can the Cowboys overcome the losses and win their division?
