The San Antonio Spurs have made beating the Thunder look easy, the same team they could not beat in the regular season.   The Thunder have relied heavily on MVP Kevin Durant, but he has not produced enough to carry his team. Durant has averaged thirty points a game in the postseason, but failed to hit that number in either of the first two games of the series against the Spurs.  His right hand man, Russell Westbrook has produced similar numbers to Durant.  Both only scored fifteen in that game two blowout.

The Thunder could be getting a boost with the possible return of forward Serge Ibaka.  Originally, Ibaka was expected to miss the rest of the playoffs after suffering a calf injury during the Thunder’s final game against the Los Angeles Clippers.  However, the swelling has gone down and he could return to action as soon as tonight’s game.  Ibaka’s skill set, between the scoring and defensive prowess, have left the Oklahoma City Thunder without their third man in command.

While the addition of Ibaka boosts the Thunder tremendously, the team still cannot match up with San Antonio.  The Spurs have looked dominant for the second straight year with contributions from role players like Danny Green.  Having Ibaka might slow the Spurs from scoring in the paint, but after averaging sixty points in the paint per game this series, the Thunder will need more than him.
