Ronda Rousey has become one of the biggest athletes, however, she also suffered one of the biggest losses in sports history.  Back in November, Rousey was set to fight Holly Holm, a relatively unknown name to casual UFC fans.  Most assumed Rousey would knock her out, it was just a matter of how long it would take.  It was Holm, however, who knocked Rousey out and stunned the entire sports world.

After the crushing loss, Rousey seemed to go into hiding as Holm’s celebrity status exploded. She has started to emerge, however, after the debut of her Sports Illustrated cover for their annual swimsuit edition.  She sat down with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on her show and finally opened up about the loss.  Being very candid, Rousey admitted that she, “was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself, and that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? And no one gives a shit about me anymore without this.’”

She continued by saying the only thing that got her out of her suicidal thoughts was her boyfriend, fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne.  She revealed, “To be honest, I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.”  It is amazing to hear Rousey open like this because she has never let the public see her vulnerable side.  If anyone can come back stronger it is Rousey.  Check out the full clip of her on The Ellen Show below!
