hi-res-454329011-rob-gronkowski-of-the-new-england-patriots-reacts-to_crop_northHe had just made his return a few weeks ago and now he faces another long road of recovery.  Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss the rest of the season and the postseason after tearing his ACL and MCL during the Patriots game against the Cleveland Browns.  The injury occurred when Gronkowski caught a pass and was hit directly in the knee by defender T.J. Ward.  He immediately fell to the ground and grabbed his knee.

The tight end started the year injured after having multiple surgeries in the offseason.  When healthy he is one of the best players in the league, but his career has been hampered by different injuries.  It will be interesting to see how he comes back from this major surgery, the toughest one he has had in his career to date.  His absence also significantly reduces the Patriots chances in the playoffs, but that is an after thought.
