He had just made his return a few weeks ago and now he faces another long road of recovery. Â Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss the rest of the season and the postseason after tearing his ACL and MCL during the Patriots game against the Cleveland Browns. Â The injury occurred when Gronkowski caught a pass and was hit directly in the knee by defender T.J. Ward. Â He immediately fell to the ground and grabbed his knee.
The tight end started the year injured after having multiple surgeries in the offseason. Â When healthy he is one of the best players in the league, but his career has been hampered by different injuries. Â It will be interesting to see how he comes back from this major surgery, the toughest one he has had in his career to date. Â His absence also significantly reduces the Patriots chances in the playoffs, but that is an after thought.
