The Big 3 in Boston is officially over. After much speculation, it was announced that Ray Allen is going to take his talents to South Beach. He agreed to a deal in which he will join former foes Dwyane Wade and Lebron James on the Miami Heat. This is a terrible move, but I am a bitter Celtics fan. He will never get the same love as he did in Boston. He will always be behind the “Miami 3” so Ray I know you will regret this decision, and prepared to have a lot of haters suddenly. For once, I wish a player thought about money over winning. Allen is probably going to receive about a 3 million dollar deal. Boston offered him almost double. So, I guess it is a nice break between having to hear about the Brooklyn Nets and Dwight Howard?

  1. I’m going to write about this tomorrow. Still can’t even think straight about the move even though it was pretty expected. I wish I could take exception to your “money over winning” comment, but I had a talk with my friend yesterday and the Celtics still don’t have a single player who can come close to guarding LeBron 1 on 1 (I know they are few and far between, but still). The best case scenario now is that the Celtics knock the Heat out in the playoffs and Ray regrets his decision while Pierce and KG get another ring.
