Boston Bruins

Bruins’ defenseman Kevan Milller will miss at least four games due to an upper body injury he received in the Bruins’ Tuesday night game against the San Jose Sharks. The nature of Miller’s injury has not been revealed but he is expected to return after the four missed games.

 

Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo Sabres’ defenseman Mark Pysyk has been sidelined with a lower body injury and has been listed as day-to-day.  Pysyk’s exact injury has not been specified but he is expected to return soon.

Sabres’ forward Zemgus Girgensons has been sidelined and will miss at least two games due to an upper body injury. Girgensons is expected to return soon.

 

Carolina Hurricanes

Hurricane’s defenseman Ryan Murphy has been sidelined due to a concussion he sustained against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday after being hit by Flyers’ forward Ryan White after just one shift.  He is going through concussion protocol before being able to return to play. Murphy’s return time is unknown and coach Bill Peters is hoping Murphy can return soon.

 

Chicago Blackhawks

Blackhawks’ forward Teuvo Teravainen has been sidelined after suffering an upper body injury he received in the Blackhawks’ Wednesday night game against the Oilers where Teravainen left the game in the second period. Blackhawks’ coach Joel Quenneville said he believes that Teravainen’s injury isn’t serious enough to keep him out too long.

 

Columbus Blue Jackets

Blue Jackets’ forward Jared Boll has been placed on injured reserve due to a foot injury he received while blocking a shot in the Blue Jackets’ Tuesday night game against the St. Louis Blues.  There is no timetable for Boll’s return.

Blue Jacket’s forward Brandon Dubinsky has been placed on injured reserve for two to three weeks due to an upper body elbow injury. Coach John Tortorella has not revealed anything else about Dubinsky’s injury aside from the fact that it was a “nagging” injury that will keep him out for a bit.

 

Colorado Avalanche

Avalanche center Ben Street has been sidelined indefinitely with a chest injury. The nature of Street’s injury has not been revealed.

John Mitchell, Avalanche center, has been sidelined again on a day-to-day basis due to an oblique injury.  Mitchell has missed six of the last eight games due to an oblique injury. Mitchell is expected to return soon, the earliest being in the Avs’ Saturday game against the Washington Capitals.

Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov practiced Tuesday morning for the first time in a week since he injured his groin. He is day-to-day and is expected to be cleared for play soon.

 

Edmonton Oilers

Oilers’ forward Luke Gazdic has been placed on injured reserve due to an undisclosed illness.  It is unknown how long Gazdic will be out.

Oilers’ defenseman Andrew Ference has been sidelines and listed as day-to-day as he deals with the flu. He is expected to make his return soon.

 

Florida Panthers

Panthers’ defenseman Dmitry Kulikov will be sidelined for two to four weeks due to a knee injury. Kulikov will not need surgery for his knee, but will remain out of play for at least two weeks.

 

Minnesota Wild

Wild forward Jason Zucker has been sidelined after sustaining a lower body injury in the Wilds’ Thursday night game against the Boston Bruins in which Zucker was slashed by Bruins’ forward Matt Belesky.  He will be sidelined on a day-to-day basis.

Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin was sidelined for Thursday night’s game against the Boston Bruins due to the flu. Brodin is expected to make his return soon.

Wild defenseman Marco Scandella has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower body injury he received during the team’s Tuesday night game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Scandella is day-to-day.

 

Montreal Canadiens

Canadiens’ defenseman Alexei Emelin will be sidelined due to a lower body injury and remains day-to-day.

 

New Jersey Devils

Devils’ forward Mike Cammalleri missed practice Thursday morning and was sidelined due to an undisclosed illness; he is on a day-to-day basis.

Devils’ forward Stefan Matteau returned to practice on Tuesday after being sidelined due to flu-like symptoms.

 

New York Islanders

Islanders’ forward Mikhail Grabovski was sidelined after exiting Monday night’s game against the Arizona Coyotes where he sustained an upper body injury after being sandwiched in a back check by  Coyotes’ Anthony Duclair and Martin Hanzel. He is listed as day-to-day.

 

Ottawa Senators

Senators goalie Andrew Hammond has been sidelined with a head injury he received during Sunday morning’s practice.

 

Philadelphia Flyers

Flyers’ forward Ryan White has been sidelined for two to four weeks due to an upper body injury he sustained during Saturday night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes as the result of an awkward check from the Canes’ defenseman John-Michael Liles in the third period.  White is expected to return to the ice in mid-December.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins

Penguins’ defenseman Olli Maatta has been sidelined for three to four weeks as the result of an upper body injury he received in the Penguins’ Tuesday night game against the Minnesota Wild where Maatta was shoved from behind by Wild forward Nino Niederreiter. Part of Maatta’s hit was against the open door, rather than hitting into the walls, which is believed to be the real reason for his injury. The team has not specified the nature of the injury, but revealed that it could have been a much worse injury and that he will recover in three to four weeks.

 

St. Louis Blues

Blues’ defenseman Colton Parayko has been sidelined due to a lower body injury and is listed as day-to-day. He is expected to return to the ice soon.

 

Tampa Bay Lightning

Lightning forward Cedric Paquette has been placed on the injured reserve list due to an undisclosed injury.  Paqutte missed Monday night’s game against the Florida Panthers and will be available for play, the earliest, in the Lightning’s upcoming game against the LA Kings.

Lightning forward Ryan Callahan was sidelined as the result of a lower body injury and was unavailable for Thursday night’s game against the New York Rangers.

Fellow forward Jonathan Drouin was sidelined due to an undisclosed injury and did not play in Thursday night’s game against the Rangers. The nature of Drouin’s injury has not been revealed.

Forward Tyler Johnson was sidelined for the Lightning’s Thursday night game against the Rangers, but is expected to return to play soon.

 

Toronto Maple Leafs

Leafs’ forward Nick Spaling has been sidelined for Tuesday night’s game against the Avalanche. Spaling is expected to return to play soon.

 

Vancouver Canucks

Canuck’s forward Radim Vrbata was sidelined as the result of a minor groin injury and missed Wednesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets. Vrbata is expected to return to play soon.
