After weeks and weeks of negotiating, the NFL and NFLPA has agreed on a new drug policy. Â Yes, that means Broncos WR Wes Welker, Cowboys DB Orlando Scandrick, and Browns WR Josh Gordon will be back on the field sooner than expected. Â Both Welker and Scandrick are now eligible to return this Sunday. Josh Gordon, who is a repeat offender, had his suspension reduced from the entire season to ten games. Â Gordon won’t be selling cars for too much longer now!
Previously, these suspensions were considered to be for perfromance-enhaning drugs, however under the new policy they would be classified as substance abuse. Â The new policy includes the beginning of testing for HGH, human growth hormone. Â Testing procedures will be sent to teams later this month.
