New York Rangers forward Rick Nash will be out for one week because of a lingering bone bruise. Nash hasn’t played since Jan. 22 and has been considered week-to-week instead of day-to-day. His 12 goals are fourth on the Rangers, with his 33 points in 45 games ranking third.  Head coach Alain Vigneault told the Rangers website that Nash’s bone bruise is taking longer than expected to heal and added in that he is still having some issues walking.

Defenseman Ryan McDonagh, who has missed the past three games due to a concussion sustained against the Philadelphia Flyers earlier this month, skated again Saturday and is making his way to coming back. Though Vigneault expressed that McDonagh looked pretty good in his latest skate, he will not be playing against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
