5_1385433296_6b5ff5c5ca1a855081a2156e440adbdbAdam Silver has spoken and Donald Sterling is gone.  Today was the day for the new NBA Commissioner to show that there is no room in the NBA for racism.  After meeting with Sterling and top NBA executives and authenticating the audio recordings, Mr. Silver announced that Sterling will not be allowed to attend any NBA events, including Clippers practices. Additionally, he will be fined $2.5 million, the maximum amount allowed by the NBA. The money will be donated to anti-discrimination charities.

Silver also said he and the board of governors will do everything they can to force Sterling to sell the team.  He said he was personally outraged by the comments made.  In his first major decision as NBA commissioner, Silver did a wonderful job showing that there is zero tolerance for any discrimination.  He set a great precedent that he will not tolerate much. He said he may go back and revise the NBA Constitution.  Goodbye Donald Sterling, it is about damn time!
