It looks like New York Knicks having a very busy offseason will be needed as guard Jr Smith reportedly had knee surgery today. Â The surgery comes from chronic injuries that worsened over time, not one specific incident. Smith went in to repair a tear in his lateral meniscus and patella tendon surgery. Â He will be sidelined for about 3-4 months as he recovers.
He will most likely not miss any of the season which is good new for the Knicks as Smith was such a valuable piece off the bench in the regular season for them. Â Smith recently signed a four-year extension with New York. Â The Knicks also made news today for signing Metta World Peace to a two-year contract.
