neighborhood-watch-trayvon-martinYesterday, we learned the fate of accused killer George Zimmerman.  Zimmerman was facing second degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, a young boy walking home from the store.  Somehow, Zimmerman was found innocent on all charges which caused outrage across the nation.  Many people chose to express their disbelief over social media.  There is a dead seventeen year old boy and no one was going to pay for his killing.  New York Giants wide receiver took out his anger on his Twitter account, sending out this tweet:

Cruz may have expressed what many are thinking, but as an athlete everything he does is placed under a microscope.  Many athletes were also up in arms, but Cruz did the right thing in making sure that nothing reflects badly on the New York Giants.   Cruz is a new father and he was most likely just acting out how Trayvon’s father must have felt burying his son far before his time.

RIP Trayvon Benjamin Martin
