Josh_FreemanJust when you think it cannot get any uglier for Josh Freeman and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it did and in a big way!  The last report was that Freeman was told to not attend a team meeting despite being in the building ready to attend the meeting.  Sports Illustrated has learned that Freeman was FINED for missing a team meeting!  However, that is not where it ends for Freeman who was allegedly fined for a different matter.  Classified as “conduct detrimental to the team”, Freeman supposedly gave an unauthorized interview with the media.  Because of these two fines, the Bucs can suspend Freeman which would allow them to attempt to trade the quarterback without having to pay him.  Freeman has been asking for a trade, and he definitely deserves to get out of this nightmare situation.

Freeman was benched last week in favor ofLast week, a source leaked information that Freeman was a member of the NFL’s drug program.  While, he has never failed a drug test, he did admit to being prescribed Adderall after being diagnosed with ADHD.   This information was supposed to remain confidential and some are pointing the finger at head coach Greg Schiano as the leak.  Tampa Bay is handling this situation worse than the Jets handled their quarterback problems.  This is a complete mess and they are only hurting their chances of getting anything in return for Freeman if they do trade him.  If Schiano is the leak, then I think the Bucs will also be looking for a new head coach.

  1. Pretty poor way to handle the situation. At the end of the day the bucs looks worse than freeman does. Not to mention that fact that they still haven’t gotten a win. Tampa is in some serious trouble!
