The world must be ending because yesterday we finally saw New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez get benched.  So, was it Tebow Time? Not exactly.  Enter a new player in this game, Greg McElroy.  McElroy is famous for spilling all the details of the locker room just a year ago.  He went on to criticize his fellow teammates as being incredibly selfish and the locker room was a zoo.  How quickly we all forget these things.

If I were head coach, I would have cut McElroy from the team the day after those comments were released for speaking so badly about what is supposed to be a family.  However, it seems that going to the press to bash teammates is normal for the Jets.

Tim Tebow may not be the greatest player, but at least he is extremely positive and is always trying to lift his teammates up.  The Jets do not have one above average quarterback on their roster.  They need to scrap all three of these guys and trade up in the draft.  Sanchez has never been a great quarterback and I think that Rex has finally taken off the blinders and realized it.  If he had Peyton Manning, would he bench him just because he threw three interceptions?  Of course not, Rex did not do it to ‘put him out of his misery,’ he did it because Sanchez could not stop throwing to former teammate Kerry Rhodes.

Attention Woody Johnson: scrap the 2012 season, lose every remaining game, and get as high a draft pick as you possibly can. Let’s bring Johnny Football to New York!

  1. The three ring circus is Rex, Tebow and Sanchez. All three need out of NY on the next AmTrak.
