Despite battling the flu, Jaromir Jagr still managed to play in last nights New Jersey Devils game against the Carolina Hurricanes. While some people wouldn’t even get out of bed when they are sick, Jagr powered through and not only played the game, but reached a milestone. In his 1,500th NHL game, he had a goal, his fifth of the season, and an assist, which helped the Devils defeat the Hurricanes with a score of 2-1. His goal tied the game with a little over 5 minutes left in the second period.

Aside from gaining two points in the game, he also moved into fifth place on the NHL’s career points list with 1,772 points, passing Marcel Dionne. Jagr has had an impressive career so far at 42 years-old with 710 career goals and 1,062 assists.
