I don’t understand what these players expect to happen when they do something incredibly stupid. Do they really think that no one is going to notice and they can get away with something that is 100% going to be on tape. Well maybe Yunel Escobar did not get the message.

While Escobar and the rest of his teammates were in Boston, playing the Red Sox, people noticed that Escobar had something written on his eye black. It turned out to be a gay slur in Spanish. How in the world did you think that was a brilliant idea? It wasn’t like no one was going to see it. The entire world was going to be able to see it.

When he found out he was going to be suspended, Escobar attempted an apology, but it was like he didn’t even say anything. “I feel bad, I’m leaving my team for something I didn’t intend to do. I have nothing against the gay community and honestly I’m sorry.” Claiming that was intended to be a joke really doesn’t make the situation any less dumb. He should just be shut down for the entire season because he embarrassed the entire organization.
