Baltimore has lost another fan favorite with Ed Reed announcing his decision to sign with the Houston Texans. The longtime Raven has been a staple to the purple and black defense, but the two sides just could not come up with a new contract. Instead of shunning the city that has loved him since he was drafted in 2002, he showed his love for all the fans and the city of Baltimore. Reed took out a full page ad in today’s Baltimore Sun newspaper to tell the city, “. . . this is not goodbye, but a See Ya Soon”. Baltimore also lost long time favorite Ray Lewis after he announced his retirement at the beginning of the playoffs. Classy move Ed.
