5-reasons-unproven-Chris-Humphreys-USA-TODAY-Sports1footbaThe two big AFC teams meet once again in a huge game.  Both teams are coming off a loss and both teams have some major injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs had remained one of the healthiest teams in the league up until last week.  Last week, both Justin Houston and Tamba Hali were unable to finish the game due to injury.  Hali is active for today’s game, but suffered a high ankle sprain that will likely make him limited.  Houston dislocated his elbow and is still weeks away from playing again.  The two account for half of the teams sacks, which has drastically fallen off in recent weeks.  The Broncos also have their injuries on both sides of the ball.

Tight end Julius Thomas will sit out for a second straight week while corner back Dominique Rogers-Cromartie will also miss the game.  Quarterback Peyton Manning is coming off his worst performance this season, only passing for 150 yards against the Patriots.  He has never been known for great quarterback play in cold weather, and heading to Arrowhead Stadium where it is expected to be in the low 40s is not something he must be looking forward to.

When the Chiefs lost this matchup two weeks ago, it was because  of their inability to get pressure on Manning.  Without Houston and Hali at less than 100 percent, I cannot imagine that they will be able to get much more pressure this time around.  Even though Manning struggles in the cold, I still think the Broncos have enough to steal a win.  Chiefs vs. Broncos-who you takin?
