Cardinals vs. Eagles- Who You Takin?

Everyone laughed when Chip Kelly thought he would revolutionize the NFL.  With his team very much in the playoff picture, maybe he was right.  With Nick Foles leading the ship, Philadelphia can tie for first place in the NFC East with a win today over Arizona.  The Cardinals have gone under the radar at 7-4 under their new head coach Bruce Arians.  Arians led the Colts to the playoffs last season when Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia.

These teams are very similar.  They have both exceeded expectations behind strong quarterback play and defenses performing at a high level.  The Eagles, however, have gotten some easy match ups and still need a statement win to solidify their talent.  The Cardinals could provide just the match up they need.  The Cardinals got a huge win last week against Indianapolis, beating them 40-11.  Arizona will be without their leading rusher Andre Ellington who will sit out with a knee injury.  The Cardinals will have to stop the league’s leading runner in LeSean McCoy.

This is a big matchup for two teams on the bubble.  The Eagles have to win their division to get in the playoffs.  The Cardinals have lost their three division match ups thus far and will likely not win a division led by the Seattle Seahawks.  They are tied with the 49ers, but do not own the tie breaker.  I see the Cardinals stealing one in Philadelphia today.  The Eagles are a very bad team at home.  They finally broke their one year home losing streak with a win over the Washington Redskins two weeks ago.  The Cardinals will get some pressure on Foles, finally, and make the quarterback throw some mistakes.  Cardinals vs. Eagles- who you takin?
