Florida State University quarterback Jameis Winston will learn if his rookie season was all in vain just in time for the holidays. Â Winston has been linked to an alleged sexual assault in which the victim points the finger at him. Â The Tallahassee police have handed over evidence to Williams Meggs who is expected to make a decision on whether or not to file criminal charges against the Heisman hopeful. Â Meggs has interviewed several witnesses over the past few days. Â If Winston is charged with a felony, he will immediately be suspended and taken out of the Heisman race.
Winston has remained silent on the issue and has not addressed it publicly. Â The victim did not originally say Winston was responsible, but instead waited a month to accuse the quarterback. Â FSU has confirmed that Winston will start today’s game against Syracuse. Â He is currently having a tremendous season passing for 2,661 yards and possibly leading his team to the BCA Championship Bowl.
