Let’s get right to it!

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Baltimore Ravens -5.5

This should be the ultimate snooze fest, but despite losing records both of the teams manage to keep it interesting weeks after week. Neither has had much success getting in the win column this year, but they have managed to cover the spread often.  This one will probably go down to the wire and be decided by a FG. That’s great news for the Jaguars because they are a 5.5 point underdog to the hapless Ravens in Baltimore. The Ravens have covered every game this season, but this is the first time this season they aren’t playing the part of spoiler. Sorry Ravens fans you may win but covering will be tough. Pick: Jags to cover and Ravens to win straight up

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers -13

I know a lot of the Packer faithful are wondering if they should push the panic button after losing two in a row.  No need, R-E-L-A-X. Yes, the Pack have lost two in a row but they lost games to teams that were previously unbeaten. Heck, Carolina is still undefeated. So everybody just calm down and R-E-L-A-X. The Detroit Lions are not the Broncos or Panthers.. The last time Detroit won a game in Green Bay, Barry Sanders was suited up. The problem with that is whenever some stat is brought up by the media it jinxes said team and they usually break the streak. This is a division game and you know what they say, on any given Sunday, but as much as I would love to see the Pack lose three in a row it’s going to take more than the lackluster Lions to jinx the Pack enough for them to lose three in row. James Starks is the Packers number one back this week. The Lions are ranked 30th against the run, and also rank dead last in the league with 30.6 points per game allowed. Pick Green Bay Packers – 13

Miami Dolphins vs. Philadelphia Eagles -7

Every time I’m ready to give up on Philadelphia, they do just enough to keep hope alive. Despite finding a new perspective since firing their head coach a few weeks back the Dolphins may find themselves as Eagle bait this week. Miami will cover but winning, well that’s a different story. Pick: Eagles straight up (Miami +7)

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers -4.5

True story, the Cleveland Browns have never beaten both the Steelers and the Ravens in the same season. The Browns will get a little help because the Steelers are wounded and mangled. Both Ben Roethlisbergeer and Le’Veon Bell are out with injures. The last time the Browns beat the Steelers in steel country Big Ben was still in college. With only two remaining home games this season Pittsburgh has to have this game with Landry Jones having the game of his life. Pick Steelers -4.5

Chicago Bears vs. St. Louis Rams -7.5

Surely you don’t still believe after 10 weeks I’m going to suddenly look into my cracked crystal ball and give you a prediction on a Bears game do you? I hope not. Prediction: After 60 minutes of football a team will be victorious.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1

While Green Bay is chanting R-E-L-A-X the Dallas Cowboys faithful should start planning for next year. In reality they should’ve started planning for next year when Tony Romo went down. You never know how good you have it with a QB until they’re gone. Take heart Dallas fans now is not the time to P-A-N-I-C. The time for that was six weeks ago. All hope is not lost. IF the Cowboys go 7-1, they will end up with a 9-7 record and could conceivably even win the NFC East. Yeah, you’re right all hope is lost. There is always next year, or the year after. On a good note at least you have Greg Hardy right? Wow yeah, nothing good is happening for Dallas right now. #NextYear Pick: Tampa Bay -1

Carolina Panthers vs. Tennessee Titans +5

The Panthers and their smothering defense head into Tennessee to pounce on the Titans this week. The Titans looked great against the Saints last week, but let’s be clear the Saints aren’t exactly great at stopping anything or anyone on offense these days. If the Panthers stay focused and don’t overlook the Titans they will keep right on rolling.  This could easily be a trap game for Carolina who looks to stay perfect. Pick: Carolina -5

New Orleans Saints vs. Washington Redskins

This game is officially a pick’em and why wouldn’t be? The only team more predictable than the Saints this season is Washington. Pick: Saints or you could just flip a coin and hope.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos -7

Shoulda, woulda, coulda, The Chiefs should’ve and more importantly could’ve knocked Peyton and the Broncos to the ranks of the defeated way back in week two of the season, but they didn’t. It seems like the Chiefs and their fans are always talking about what could’ve been, what they should’ve done, or what they would’ve done if hell had frozen over on Monday. Sigh. Next week I may be saying I should’ve picked the Chiefs, I would’ve picked them if they were more reliable, etc. That’s just a chance I’m going to have to take because I’m not saying that this week. *Peyton Manning needs less than five yards to ink another line in the history books. So I’m definitely not picking against Peyton and history. Pick: Broncos -7

New England Patriots vs. New York Giants +8

The Patriots are heading into the Meadowlands undefeated. I wonder if Tom Brady’s heart is pumping a little quicker this week. The last time the undefeated Patriots saw the Giants, Big Blue put an end to the Patriots quest for perfection in the worst way. The Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl making that loss, the most important loss; their only blemish of the season. Whether they’re 8–0 or 18–0, you just don’t know what to expect from the Patriots when they run up against the Tom Coughlin and Big Blue. The Giants are the only team with a three-game winning streak against New England in the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era. Pick Giants +8 & New England Straight up for the Win

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks -3

This season the 49ers are a non-factor, the Rams are quietly doing whatever the Rams do and Seattle seems to suffer from a split personality disorder. You never know from play to play which team will show up. Seattle should be well rested after their bye week last week. The 12th man will be in full force come game time in the West. The Seahawks next three games are at home and getting this first victory is an absolute must. Pick Seattle -3

Houston Texans vs. Cincinnati Bengals -12

Cincinnati should make short work of the Texans. The Bengals would be wise not to take Houston lightly. If Andy Dalton and Marvin Lewis lose their head they are sure to hear rumblings about how the Bengals can’t win the big games. Don’t worry Bengals fans the clock hasn’t struck midnight just yet. Cinderella keeps rolling. Pick Bengals straight up Texans to cover +12

Season Record ATS 61-95
