tony-romo-cowboysWhile there was talk the the Dallas Cowboys would look to trade quarterback Tony Romo, it looks like they have gone a different direction completely.  The Cowboys announced that they have made Romo the richest player in Cowboys history after signing him to a 6 year/$108 million contract with $55 million guaranteed.   While Romo has been one of the best regular season quarterbacks, his postseason numbers are absolutely dismal.   Since signing with the Cowboys in 2003, Romo has won a grand total of ONE playoff game. In the last two seasons, he completely fell apart in the last game against division rivals that were win and in games.  Win and in meaning that if you win the game, you are in the playoffs.

Romo was guaranteed more money than Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco who is coming off a Super Bowl win and was made out to be the bad guy for his contract.  This is the only significant move the Cowboys made this offseason because of their lack of cap space.  Many have taken to Twitter to express their opinion on the signing, including athletes:
