Looks like athleticism runs in the Woods family! Today, 23 year old Cheyenne Woods, niece of Tiger, won the 2014 Australian Ladies Masters! She was neck and neck with amateur Minjee Lee, but in the end won by two strokes. She finished the weekend tournament four under 69 and her very first professional win on a major tour. Her uncle sent her a tweet expressing how proud he is:
Woods had previously fallen short the past two years and did not make the final cut. This is her second time on the Ladies’ European Tour and has yet to reach her potential. If she has half the drive and competitiveness that her uncle possess, the gold world better watch out!
