Alexa, play Gloria! For the first time in their incredible fifty-one year history, the St. Louis Blues are bringing home the elusive Stanley Cup!

In a best of seven series, the St. Louis Blues faced off against a tough, hungry, and fierce Boston Bruins club who wanted to bring home a cup for the first time since 2011. The Blues themselves fought with passion and integrity, defeating the Jets, Stars, and Sharks to reach the Finals.

Ryan O’Reilly was named the recipient of the Conn Smythe trophy, which is given to the most valuable player of the Finals. He has been the Blues leading scorer with twenty-three points and all-around playmaker for his team.

The 2019 Stanley Cup Finals were the fourth time the team made it to the very end; the previous seasons being 1968-1970. However, they lost in all three of those series, so winning this time was extra special to this club. Alex Pietrangelo was also the first defenseman captain to win the Cup since Zdeno Chara won it with the Boston Bruins in 2011.

On January 2nd, 2018, the St. Louis Blues were DEAD LAST in the NHL standings and now, the team is lifting hockey’s most illustrious grand prize. It just goes to show you that a little faith goes a very long way. Congratulations St. Louis Blues, you deserve it!
