The big question for all NFL prospects is what is going to be your first big purchase when you sign your contract. Â Louisville quarterback turned overanalyzed NFL prospect Teddy Bridgewater decided not to wait until the big day. Â When Bridgewater was just nine years old, he promised his mother that when he made it to the NFL he would buy her a pink Cadillac Escalade. Â Pink in honor of her being a breast cancer survivor.
Now, that his dream of playing in the NFL is looking more and more like reality, he went ahead and purchased her that car. Â With a little help from Robin Roberts, Bridgewater was able to surprise his mom at her birthday brunch. Â The surprise and much more was captured on film in a short film entitled #Promise2Rose. Â It is directed by Spike Lee who sits down with the quarterback and helps him pick out the right shade of pink. Â The film also details Bridgewater’s football career.
