A very scary scene at the Dallas Stars vs. Columbus Blue Jackets when Dallas centerman Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench.  It was during the first period that Peverley out of nowhere collapsed and immediately medical personnel rushed over to the Dallas bench.

Trainers carried him through the tunnel, electing to not use a stretcher and instead carry him by his arms and legs.  The game was immediately stopped as everyone just waited to get an update on his condition.  Many players from both teams were visibly shaken up by the incident and the NHL decided to postpone the remainder of the game.

He was taken to the hospital right away and is conscious, but will remain there for further evaluation. He even wanted to go back into the game!  Peverley had a procedure before the season started to correct an irregular heartbeat. The issue resurfaced last week when he said he did not feel right after a game and sat out the next night.   Glad to hear that he s doing alright and will likely make a full recovery!
