Sixers Star Accused of Rape

Another athlete has been accused of mistreating a woman.  This time it is Philadelphia Sixers star Nick Young who is accused of drugging a woman and then raping her both vaginally and anally.  The incident allegedly happened back in 2011 when the accuser met up with Young at Crown Bar in West Hollywood, California.  Young offered the accuser, who wishes to remain nameless, and her friend a glass of champagne. After downing the drink, the woman does not remember anything that happened. The next thing the woman remembers is waking up in Young’s bed bleeding.  The woman asked Young to take her home which he obliged and she immediately went to UCLA Rape Treatment Center.  There she stated that Young admitted to having sex with her, but stopped once she passed out.  The treatment center did find GHB, the “date-rape” drug, in the woman’s blood.  She also had injuries to her pelvic region that were consistent with being raped.  She is suing Young for sexual assault and Crown Bar for negligence. While this is all still he said-she said, this is a very serious matter that could ruin the rest of Young’s life.  If this is true, then he has no business being in the NBA.  Rape is the worst form of violation and should not be tolerated on any level.
