Atlanta police are looking at former NBA center Shaquille O’Neal in an open assault investigation. Â Allegedly one of Shaq’s co-workers filed a police report on July 2nd about an incident that occurred last May at the Time Warner studio where Shaq works as an NBA analyst. Â In the report, the man accuses that O’Neal “ran out of a room and hit me with a tackle punch to the back knocking me down and falling on top of me injuring my neck and back”.
Shaq’s lawyer describes the incident as nothing more than “horseplay”. Â O’Neal has no malice when he struck the man in the back. Â The accuser’s lawyer says his client is recovering from surgery and the incident was much more than just horseplay. Â No official charges have been filed over this incident. Â If Shaq really was trying to hurt someone, I would imagine he could inflict a lot of pain with his size!
