After Selection Sunday, the men’s tournament has been set.  Bring on Selection Monday and the women’s tourney!   Connecticut in no surprise drew the No. 1 overall seed in the Lincoln Region. The Huskies are 34-0 and are seeking their ninth national championship and has won three out of the last five titles.

The Tennessee Volunteers, winners of the SEC tournament, are the No. 1 in the Louisville Region while Notre Dame is the No. 1 in the Notre Dame Region, the Irish are also undefeated and have made it to the final four in the last three seasons.  Baylor, Kentucky and Purdue will join Notre Dame in their respective region. Rounded out the number ones is South Carolina in the Stanford Region.

It appears Tennessee will have the toughest road to the final four, having West Virginia, Maryland and Louisville in their region.Louisville was the 2013 Cinderella and is expected to be a tough out again.

The tournament, in reality, looks to be a two team race between UConn and Notre Dame. Both teams have been dominate all season long. UConn has won games by an average of 36 points.  Every tournament is full of surprises and a No. 1 can go down at any point.
